Agriculture, Alternative Technology, Caste and Class, Minorities - ethnic and sexuality minorities, Child Labour, Climate Change, Disasters, Environment & Ecology, Communalism, Creative Writing, Disability, Development Themes & Issues, Education, Gender, Globalisation, Health, HIV and AIDS, Human Rights/People Rights, NGO Management & Training, Nuclear Energy, Memoirs/Biographies/Autobiographies, Political History, Women's Issues/Rights and through all these, always taking into consideration the impact on the vulnerable and minority sections of society like women, children, disabled people, the HIV and AIDS affected, the elderly and the ethnic and religious groups.
Translations from Indian Regional Languages, Foreign Languages to English or vice versa could be of interest.
How to submit
Mail to bfc@booksforchange.info or to Attn: Publisher & Chief Editor, Books for Change, 139 Richmond Road, Bangalore 560 025. India, giving an appropriate introduction of the author with the contents list and synopsis of the forthcoming manuscript/work. This then would generate a discussion between the Publisher/Chief Editor and author.
If Books for Change finds the manuscript appealing to its commitment on social issues, then the entire manuscript would be requested for. This request in no way binds the Publisher to publish the manuscript that is submitted. A soft copy of the manuscript is preferred with text in one and a half line space.
You can expect to hear from us within 6 to 9 weeks on receipt of the manuscript - but there are instances when the authors have heard from us at a faster pace too or slightly delayed.
