Established in 1998, Books for Change (BfC) is one of the important publishing houses in the alternative publishing industry in India.

Our books cover a wide spectrum of issues confronting modern society. Issues of poverty and displacement; of caste, gender and oppression of minority rights; of the ravages wrought by development on the environment, and climate change; of disasters caused by man and nature, and facing up to them. Our books also write about hope in the midst of struggles.

You can pick books that analyse the conflict in your neighbourhood, or the global arms race... and how these could affect the price of tea and coffee in, well, your favourite hangout!

BfC is also in the business of providing expert solutions in printing and publishing.

We are good at taking a raw manuscript; transcript of a talk or discussion; brochure, calendar, diary, etc. – take each through stages of editing, design, layout and illustration – and provide camera ready print copies or the final printed document. We have some of the best writers, editors, photographers, designers and printers in the trade as our collaborators.

Our clients include national and international NGOs, and corporate business houses. We have worked with organisations of the UN and other international regulatory agencies.
